City Clerk
The Clerk’s office is one of the most multi-faceted departments of City Government with a wide array of duties and statutory responsibilities.
We provide the professional link between the citizens, the governing body and agencies of government at other levels. The Clerk attends all
meetings of the Council, Committee of the Whole, and Long Range Planning Committee and keeps a record of the proceedings. The Clerk has care
and custody of the corporate seal and all records of the City. The Clerk is also responsible for supervision of the elections, licensing,
insurance, Board of Review, and employee benefits. A major function of the City Clerk’s office is to serve the best interests of the people
while maintaining neutrality and impartiality, rendering equal service to all.
