Licenses and Permits

The City Clerk's office is responsible for issuing the majority of licenses in the City of Tomah. Completed forms, as well as appropriate payment, may be returned to the clerk's office at 819 Superior Ave during normal business hours. Payments can also be made online here

All Bartender Licenses issued in the City of Tomah expire at the same time, which is every two years at the end of June in even years, therefore, licenses are prorated in six-month periods. For example, if you apply for or renew a bartender license in August of year one, the cost is $50 and if you apply or renew in August of year two, the cost is $20. The bartender license fee schedule is as follows:

24-month License Effective: July-December Year One - $50

18-month License Effective: January-June Year One - $30

12-month License Effective: July-December Year Two - $20

6-month License Effective: January-June Year Two - $15
